On Sunday, July 8th, HELPCO went to Shadow Ridge Park for a preserve and enhance the environment event. The event began at 1:00 pm and lasted until just before 2:00 pm. After the event was completed the park and surrounding sidewalks looked great. The HELPCO volunteers received thank you’s from local citizens passing through the area. It was a another job well done and a goal achieved.
The next preserve and enhance event will be on Sunday, July 15th, at Zilker Metropolitan Park. The park is located at 2100 Barton Springs Rd in Austin, TX (78746). The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 am in the park and then will extend onto the area streets. While the event is scheduled for 1 hour, the cleanup will continue on if needed.
