On Sunday, May 27th, HELPCO went to Hunters Glen Lake Park for a preserve and enhance the environment event. The event began at 1:00 pm and lasted until just after 2:00 pm. After the event was completed the park and surrounding sidewalks looked super. The HELPCO volunteers were even greeted by local citizens riding through the area. It was a another great job and a mission accomplished.
The next preserve and enhance event will take place on Sunday, June 3rd, at Lake Village Park. The park is located at 12802 Columbine Cir in Thornton (80241). The event is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm in the park and then will extend onto the area streets. While the event is scheduled for 1 hour, the cleanup will continue on if needed.
