HELPCO had their most recent preserve and enhance the environment last Sunday, February 25th at Harambe Park in Broomfield. The event started at 2:30 pm and lasted until 4 pm. The result was another successful restoration. The HELPCO wagon was once again filled with to capacity with garbage and recyclables that were scattered around the park and surrounding streets. The HELPCO volunteers braved the cold temperatures and strong winds to accomplish their goals.
The next preserve and enhance the environment event will take place at Country Estates Park on Sunday, March 4th. The park is located at 13867 Gunnison Way in Broomfield (80020). The event will begin at 1 pm in the park and then expand onto the area streets. The event is scheduled to last for 1 hour but will continue depending on progress.
