McKay Landing Park in Broomfield was the most recent recipient of a preserve and enhance the environment event held by HELPCO last Sunday, March 11th. The fun started at 1:00 pm and ended just after 2:00 pm. After a little over an hour the park and surrounding areas looked fantastic. The HELPCO wagon was once again filled with bags of litter and recyclables that were picked up around the park and nearby streets. Citizens acknowledged HELPCO volunteers with honks and waves along the way. It was another day seized and a job well done.
HELPCO will hold their next preserve and enhance the environment event on Sunday, March 18th at Outlook Park. The park is located at 2000 Outlook Trail in Broomfield (80020). The event will begin at 1:00 pm in the park and then spread out onto the surrounding sidewalks. The fun is scheduled to last for 1 hour but the time will be extended if needed.
