HELPCO held a preserve and enhance the environment event on Sunday, January 28th at Quail Creek Park. The event began at 1 pm and lasted until 3 pm. In the end we were able to collect over 100 pounds of garbage and recyclables that were littered through out the park and surrounding sidewalks. Our group of dedicated individuals were inspired by the immediate impact they were having on the park and surrounding areas. The praises we received from the local community further fueled our desire to continue our endless efforts to make our city a better place.
Our next preserve and enhance the environment event will be held on Sunday, February 4th at Quail Crossing Park. The park is located at 13530 Jason Ct in Denver (80234). We will begin at 1 pm in the parking area and spread throughout the park and onto the surrounding sidewalks. The event will last at least an hour but we will extend our time if needed to complete the cleanup. We will be wearing our HELPCO shirts and should be easy to spot if you choose to attend. We hope to see you at this or another HELPCO event scheduled weekly.
